Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for squid:4.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2020:3623 advisory.

- squid: HTTP Request Smuggling could result in cache poisoning (CVE-2020-15810)

- squid: HTTP Request Splitting could result in cache poisoning (CVE-2020-15811)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL squid:4 package based on the guidance in RHSA-2020:3623.
