Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of lua53 installed on the remote host is prior to 5.3.5-7. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2020-1492 advisory.

ldebug.c in Lua 5.4.0 allows a negation overflow and segmentation fault in getlocal and setlocal, as demonstrated by getlocal(3,2^31). (CVE-2020-24370)
