Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the gcc packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

 - The gcc package contains the GNU Compiler Collection version 4.8.You'll need this package in order to compile C code.Security Fix(es):The demangle_template function in cplus-dem.c in GNU libiberty, as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.31.1, has a memory leak via a crafted string, leading to a denial of service (memory consumption), as demonstrated by cxxfilt, a related issue to CVE-2018-12698.(CVE-2018-20657)

Solution

Update the affected gcc package.
