Synopsis

Adobe Photoshop installed on remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe Photoshop installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 21.2.3. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the apsb20-63 advisory.

- Adobe Photoshop for Windows version 21.2.1 (and earlier) is affected by an uncontrolled search path element vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Photoshop version 21.2.3 or later.
