Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 20.10 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4562-2 advisory.

kramdown could be made to crash, run programs, or leak sensitive information if it opened a specially crafted file.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kramdown and / or ruby-kramdown packages.
