Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of tested product installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2020-1518 advisory.

 - Hunspell 1.7.0 has an invalid read operation in SuggestMgr::leftcommonsubstring in suggestmgr.cxx.
 (CVE-2019-16707)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update hunspell' to update your system.
