Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of tested product installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2020-1574 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in Qt through 5.12.9, and 5.13.x through 5.15.x before 5.15.1. read_xbm_body in gui/image/qxbmhandler.cpp has a buffer over-read. (CVE-2020-17507)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update qt' to update your system.
 Run 'yum update qt5-qtbase' to update your system.
