Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.04 / MAIN 5.04, has zziplib packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- Directory traversal vulnerability in ZZIPlib 0.13.69 allows attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in a zip file, because of the function unzzip_cat in the bins/unzzipcat-mem.c file.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL zziplib packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
