CentOS 7 : python-rtslib (RHSA-2020:5435)

high Nessus Plugin ID 144972

Synopsis

The remote CentOS Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2020:5435 advisory.

- Open-iSCSI rtslib-fb through 2.1.72 has weak permissions for /etc/target/saveconfig.json because shutil.copyfile (instead of shutil.copy) is used, and thus permissions are not preserved. (CVE-2020-14019)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-rtslib and / or python-rtslib-doc packages.
