Synopsis

The remote EulerOS Virtualization host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the compat-libtiff3 package installed, the EulerOS Virtualization installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

 - LibTIFF version 4.0.7 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in tif_lzw.c resulting in DoS or code execution via a crafted bmp image to tools/bmp2tiff.(CVE-2017-5563)

Solution

Update the affected compat-libtiff3 package.
