Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for squid.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2021:1135 advisory.

- squid: improper input validation may allow a trusted client to perform HTTP request smuggling (CVE-2020-25097)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL squid package based on the guidance in RHSA-2021:1135.
