The remote PAN-OS host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS running on the remote host is 8.1.x prior to 8.1.19 or 9.0.x prior to 9.0.12 or 9.1.x prior to 9.1.6 or 10.0.x prior to 10.0.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability.

 - An information exposure through log file vulnerability exists in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software where secrets in PAN-OS XML API requests are logged in cleartext to the web server logs when the API is used incorrectly. (CVE-2021-3036)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to PAN-OS 8.1.19 / 9.0.12 / 9.1.6 / 10.0.1 or later
