Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux AMI host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of nvidia installed on the remote host is prior to 418.197.02-2018.03.117. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS-2021-1495 advisory.

NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys or nvidia.ko) where improper access control may lead to denial of service, information disclosure, or data corruption. (CVE-2021-1076)
