Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch

Description

The version of Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) installed on the remote host is affected by multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input before returning it to users. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by convincing a user to click a specially crafted URL, to execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser session.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug IDs CSCvw93272, CSCvw93276, CSCvw93282, CSCvw93513.
