Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for slapi-nis.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2021:2032 advisory.

The slapi-nis packages contain the NIS server plug-in and the Schema Compatibility plug-in for use with the 389 Directory Server.

* slapi-nis: NULL dereference (DoS) with specially crafted Binding DN (CVE-2021-3480)
