The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES11 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2019:14190-1 advisory.

- A vulnerability was found in the implementation of DNSSEC in Dnsmasq up to and including 2.78. Wildcard synthesized NSEC records could be improperly interpreted to prove the non-existence of hostnames that actually exist. (CVE-2017-15107)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected dnsmasq package.
