Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES11 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2020:14481-1 advisory.

- Due to use of a dangling pointer, libcurl 7.29.0 through 7.71.1 can use the wrong connection when sending data. (CVE-2020-8231)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected curl-openssl1, libcurl4-openssl1 and / or libcurl4-openssl1-32bit packages.
