Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLED15 / SLES15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2021:1958-1 advisory.

 - Libjpeg-turbo all version have a stack-based buffer overflow in the transform component. A remote attacker can send a malformed jpeg file to the service and cause arbitrary code execution or denial of service of the target service. (CVE-2020-17541)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
