The remote Scientific Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Scientific Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the SLSA-2021:2305-1 advisory.

 - hw: vt-d related privilege escalation (CVE-2020-24489)

 - hw: improper isolation of shared resources in some Intel Processors (CVE-2020-24511)

 - hw: observable timing discrepancy in some Intel Processors (CVE-2020-24512)

 - hw: information disclosure on some Intel Atom processors (CVE-2020-24513)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected microcode_ctl and / or microcode_ctl-debuginfo packages.
