The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLED15 / SLES15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2021:2012-1 advisory.

- An issue was discovered in urllib3 before 1.26.5. When provided with a URL containing many @ characters in the authority component, the authority regular expression exhibits catastrophic backtracking, causing a denial of service if a URL were passed as a parameter or redirected to via an HTTP redirect.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python3-urllib3 package.
