Synopsis

An application installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of ArubaOS-Switch installed on the remote host is 16.08.* prior to version 16.08.0009, 16.09.* prior to 16.09.0007 or 16.10.* prior to 16.10.0003. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities, as follows:

 - A vulnerability in the Web Management Interface allows an attacker to gain access to the administration of the switch. This attack can only occur if a switch administrator is already logged into the switch Web Management Interface, and is convinced by an attacker to click on the specially crafted URL. (CVE-2019-5321)

 - A vulnerability in the Web Management Interface allows an attacker to inject JavaScript code by sending a crafted URL to the administrator user of the switch. This attack can only occur if a switch administrator is already logged into the switch Web Management Interface, and is convinced by an attacker to click on the specially crafted URL. (CVE-2019-5320)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to ArubaOS-Switch version 16.08.0014, 16.09.0012, 16.10.0009 or later.
