The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 / SLES_SAP12 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2021:2635-1 advisory.

- Absolute path traversal vulnerability in the extract_jar function in jartool.c in FastJar 0.98 allows remote attackers to create or overwrite arbitrary files via a full pathname for a file within a .jar archive, a related issue to CVE-2010-0831. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2006-3619. (CVE-2010-2322)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected fastjar package.
