The remote CentOS host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the CESA-2021:3447 advisory.

 - kernel: powerpc: KVM guest OS users can cause host OS memory corruption (CVE-2021-37576)

 - kernel: slab-out-of-bounds access in xdr_set_page_base() in net/sunrpc/xdr.c (CVE-2021-38201)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
