Description

The Microsoft Office product installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities, as follows:

- A spoofing vulnerability in Microsoft Office that can be exploited by a remote, low privileged attacker.
(CVE-2021-38650)

- A remote code execution vulnerability in Microsoft Excel that can be exploited by a local, unprivileged attacker. (CVE-2021-38655)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Microsoft has released a set of patches for Microsoft Office for Mac.
