Synopsis
The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.Description
The version of F5 Networks BIG-IP installed on the remote host is prior to 14.1.4.4 / 15.1.4 / 16.1.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the K41997459 advisory.- On version 16.x before 16.1.0, 15.1.x before 15.1.4, 14.1.x before 14.1.4.4, and all versions of 13.1.x, 12.1.x, and 11.6.x, a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the resource information page for authenticated users when a full webtop is configured on the BIG-IP APM system. Note:
Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. (CVE-2021-23054)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K41997459.See Also
