Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-2781 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in OpenStack Neutron before 16.4.1, 17.x before 17.2.1, and 18.x before 18.1.1.
 Authenticated attackers can reconfigure dnsmasq via a crafted extra_dhcp_opts value. (CVE-2021-40085)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the neutron packages.

For Debian 9 Stretch, these problems have been fixed in version 2
