Synopsis

The remote web server hosts a web application that is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian JIRA hosted on the remote web server is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability in the QueryComponentRendererValue!Default.jspa due to an improper access restriction. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by specially crafted HTTP request, to disclose sensitive information which may aid in further attacks.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian JIRA version 8.5.15 / 8.13.7 / 8.17.0 or later.
