Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-2787 advisory.

- Redmine before 4.1.5 and 4.2.x before 4.2.3 may disclose the names of users on activity views due to an insufficient access filter. (CVE-2021-42326)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the redmine packages.

For Debian 9 stretch, this problem has been fixed in version 3.3.1-4+deb9u5.
