Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.05 / MAIN 5.05, has openldap packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- In filter.c in slapd in OpenLDAP before 2.4.50, LDAP search filters with nested boolean expressions can result in denial of service (daemon crash). (CVE-2020-12243)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL openldap packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
