The version of Adobe Premiere Pro installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 15.4.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB21-100 advisory.- Adobe Premiere Pro version 15.4.1 (and earlier) is affected by a memory corruption vulnerability due to insecure handling of a malicious file, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability. (CVE-2021-40792, CVE-2021-40793, CVE-2021-40794)
- Adobe Premiere Pro 15.4.1 (and earlier) is affected by a Null pointer dereference vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted file. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve an application denial-of-service in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2021-40796, CVE-2021-42263, CVE-2021-42264)
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
