Synopsis

The remote CentOS host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the CESA-2021:4059 advisory.

 - curl: Requirement to use TLS not properly enforced for IMAP, POP3, and FTP protocols (CVE-2021-22946)

 - curl: Server responses received before STARTTLS processed after TLS handshake (CVE-2021-22947)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
