Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for nss.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2021:4907 advisory.

- nss: Memory corruption in decodeECorDsaSignature with DSA signatures (and RSA-PSS) (CVE-2021-43527)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL nss package based on the guidance in RHSA-2021:4907.
