Synopsis

The Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 installation on the remote host is missing security updates.

Description

The Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 installation on the remote host is missing security updates. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this to bypass authentication and execute unauthorized arbitrary commands. (CVE-2022-21837, CVE-2022-21840, CVE-2022-21842)

Solution

Microsoft has released security update KB5002113 to address this issue.
