The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SUSE15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE-SU-2022:0184-1 advisory.

- json-c through 0.14 has an integer overflow and out-of-bounds write via a large JSON file, as demonstrated by printbuf_memappend. (CVE-2020-12762)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libjson-c-devel, libjson-c3 and / or libjson-c3-32bit packages.
