Synopsis

The remote AlmaLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote AlmaLinux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALSA-2021:1756 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in Qt through 5.12.9, and 5.13.x through 5.15.x before 5.15.1. read_xbm_body in gui/image/qxbmhandler.cpp has a buffer over-read. (CVE-2020-17507)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected qt5-qtbase-static package.
