The remote AlmaLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote AlmaLinux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALSA-2020:4547 advisory.

- sf-pcapng.c in libpcap before 1.9.1 does not properly validate the PHB header length before allocating memory. (CVE-2019-15165)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libpcap and / or libpcap-devel packages.
