Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the babel package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 - Babel.Locale in Babel before 2.9.1 allows attackers to load arbitrary locale .dat files (containing serialized Python objects) via directory traversal, leading to code execution. (CVE-2021-42771)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected babel packages.
