A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 100.0.4896.127. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 2022_04_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_14 advisory.

 - Type confusion in V8 Turbofan in Google Chrome prior to 100.0.4896.127 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2022-1364)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 100.0.4896.127 or later.
