Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- A potential DoS vulnerability was discovered in GitLab CE/EE starting with version 13.7. Using a malformed TIFF images was possible to trigger memory exhaustion. (CVE-2021-39912)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 14.2.6, 14.3.4, 14.4.1 or later.
