Synopsis

The remote web server contains a PHP script that allows for arbitrary file uploads.

Description

The version of e107 installed on the remove host is affected by a file upload vulnerability that could allow remote, unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the remote host. An attacker may exploit this flaw to upload a PHP file to the remote host containing arbitrary code and then execute this code on the remove host, subject to the privileges of the web server user id.

Solution

Upgrade to e107 0.617 or later or apply the referenced patch.
