Synopsis

A source control application running on the remote web server is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of GitLab running on the remote web server is 13.2 prior to 14.8.6, 14.9.x prior to 14.9.4, or 14.10.x prior to 14.10.1. It is, therefore, affected by the following vulnerability:

- An information disclosure vulnerability exists in confidential notes feature of GitLab CE/EE. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to disclose details of confidential notes to unauthorized project members.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 14.8.6, 14.9.4, 14.10.1 or later.
