Description

The remote Oracle Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2022-1968 advisory.

 - fix heap buffer overflow in flac (#2030507)

 [1.0.28-11]
 - a crafted wav file could cause heap buffer overflow that allowed an arbitrary code execution(#1985028)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libsndfile and / or libsndfile-devel packages.
