The Adobe InDesign instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe InDesign installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 16.4.2, 17.3.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB22-30 advisory.

- Adobe InDesign versions 17.2.1 (and earlier) and 16.4.1 (and earlier) are affected by an Out-Of-Bounds Write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

- Adobe InDesign versions 17.2.1 (and earlier) and 16.4.1 (and earlier) are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability when parsing a crafted file, which could result in a read past the end of an allocated memory structure. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2022-34248)

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe InDesign version 16.4.2, 17.3.0 or later.
