openSUSE 15 Security Update : phpPgAdmin (openSUSE-SU-2022:10065-1)

critical Nessus Plugin ID 163447

Language:

Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SUSE15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE-SU-2022:10065-1 advisory.

- phppgadmin through 7.12.1 allows sensitive actions to be performed without validating that the request originated from the application. One such area, database.php does not verify the source of an HTTP request. This can be leveraged by a remote attacker to trick a logged-in administrator to visit a malicious page with a CSRF exploit and execute arbitrary system commands on the server. (CVE-2019-10784)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected phpPgAdmin and / or phpPgAdmin-apache packages.
