The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 / SLES_SAP12 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2022:2666-1 advisory.

- In Das U-Boot through 2022.07-rc5, an integer signedness error and resultant stack-based buffer overflow in the i2c md command enables the corruption of the return address pointer of the do_i2c_md function.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected u-boot-rpi3 and / or u-boot-tools packages.
