Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2022:2800-1 advisory.

- An issue was discovered in TrouSerS through 0.3.14. If the tcsd daemon is started with root privileges instead of by the tss user, it fails to drop the root gid privilege when no longer needed.
(CVE-2020-24330)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libtspi1, libtspi1-32bit and / or trousers packages.
