Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLED15 / SLED_SAP15 / SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2022:3456-1 advisory.

- Integer signedness error in bspatch.c in bspatch in bsdiff, as used in Apple OS X before 10.11.6 and other products, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow) via a crafted patch file. (CVE-2014-9862)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libostree, libostree-1-1, libostree-devel and / or typelib-1_0-OSTree-1_0 packages.
