The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2022:3807-1 advisory.

- cfg_tilde_expand in confuse.c in libConfuse 3.3 has a heap-based buffer over-read. (CVE-2022-40320)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libconfuse-devel and / or libconfuse0 packages.
