Synopsis

The remote web server is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of IBM MQ Server running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 6833806 advisory.

 - IBM MQ could allow an authenticated and authorized user to cause a denial of service to the MQTT channels. (CVE-2022-31772)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to IBM MQ 9.1.0.12 LTS, 9.2.0.6 LTS, 9.3.0.1 LTS, 9.3.1 CD or later. Alternatively, install APAR IT33206 where appropriate.
