Synopsis

The remote Rocky Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Rocky Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RLSA-2022:7640 advisory.

 - Buffer Overflow in uudecoder in Mutt affecting all versions starting from 0.94.13 before 2.2.3 allows read past end of input line (CVE-2022-1328)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected mutt, mutt-debuginfo and / or mutt-debugsource packages.
